ISLAMIC, Mongols. Ilkhanids. Abu Sa'id Bahadur, AH 716-736 / AD 1316-1335. Fals (Copper, 21 mm, 1.88 g), Baghdad, AH 73[...] = AD 133[...]. Floral symbol; around part of the Kalima and the names of the four Rashidun Khalifa; all in Arabic. Rev. In the inner circle, name of the mint (Baghdad); in the outer margin, 'al-Sultan Abu-Sa'id' ('Sultan Abu-Sa'id) and the date; all in Arabic. Cf. Diler Ab-645 (for Tabriz).
